Appreciations

Belen T.

“I am so very grateful for all the guidance Dr. Philbin has given me. I have learned so much about myself and become more aware of my actions and reactions to others, which helped me save myself from many frustrations and disappointments. I liked my sessions because I learned to set healthy boundaries with my friends and family. Our sessions also helped me to see others' points of view without judgment. I also learned to pay attention to the pattern of my thoughts. I liked that each week, I had a project to work on, which helped me take control of my life and see the progress I had made before and after completing the project.

To anyone on a similar journey as mine, I would advise them to examine their boundaries with friends, family, and other relationships. I would also advise them to be patient with themselves through this process and to dedicate time to care for themselves.”

Working with Dr. Philbin has been a transformative experience. Her positivity, warmth and good humor helped me to properly assess and implement changes that have allowed greater growth in both my career and personal life.

Dr. Philbin is a wonderful coach. In particular, she is knowledgeable, experienced, keenly observant, intelligent and open minded. In addition, she is kind, caring, compassionate and patient. She is not locked into doing things in a particular way, and she listens and observes and tailors her approach to what is needed by the client.

I now have a whole new set of insights, tools, strategies and methods to help manage my thoughts, emotions and responses. I was able to pull out of a deep depression and continue to try to make life work.

I would tell anyone to try to find a coach like Dr. Philbin. And to listen carefully and follow the instructions and do the work: read the books, do the exercises, write in your journal, practice the practices, and stay on the path. And when you fall off the path, notice it and get back on and keep going.

My deep and utter appreciation and gratitude for all of your wise and generous coaching and help with nearly all aspects of life.

But wait, there’s more…

“I had sessions with Dr. Kait in the darkest period of my life when nothing was going good for me. And just after my first session I felt very hopeful towards everything. She really guided me towards the right path and played a major role in me turning my life around. It was after talking to her that I saw for the first time in a very long time that someone actually understands what I’m going through. I'll always be grateful for her understanding of the things around me and her guidance on how to get over all the obstacles. She's undoubtedly one of the best people I've met and I would blindly recommend her to anyone who's going through a hard time or needs guidance in their life. Thank you Dr. Kait once again for your guidance and support.”

“It has been a personal and professional pleasure to know Kait Philbin. Kait was teaching yoga at WomanCare, a health center affiliated with a local hospital. On top of being a busy mother of two active high school students, I was juggling a full professional life and graduate school. Most days I was exhausted. The doctors dismissed it, attributing my lack of energy to my fast-paced lifestyle. I found my way to Kait’s yoga class in my search for some respite, peace of mind, and balance. And believe me, she delivered. During her sessions I mustered the courage to tell my doctor that I felt I had some underlying medical issue. Shortly thereafter, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis.  My numbers were so high, the doctor told me he was surprised I wasn’t comatose. And here I am in my retirement, a healthy grandmother of three, still practicing yoga and dancing through my days. Thank you, Kait, for being my first yoga teacher and the woman who taught me to listen to the wisdom of my own body. Namasté.”

“I’ve worked with Dr. Kait for the past year and I am continually amazed by her patience and ability to provide the keen, clever, and necessary guidance that I need to move my career/goals forward. She has helped in many dimensions, from my emotional intelligence, to day-to-day organization, to shifting my career focus.

Her calm and kind demeanor gives me the emotional space needed to open up, and this paired with her insight into my underlying patterns has reshaped my career and helped me discover more emotionally intelligent ways of interacting both personally and professionally.

She has helped me to uncover underlying issues/drivers that were previously blindspots. This has enable me to take steps that I would not have otherwise because I feel strengthened and supported by her coaching. She not only has the foresight to help me imagine my way around blockers that have kept me stuck, but also help me build new patterning in the process.”

“I have been Dr. Philbin’s client for 7 years. I first went to her for couples coaching and later individual coaching.  She has helped me learn to shape the right questions of myself and then how to significantly reduce the time that it takes me to access the inner wisdom from where I make the most authentic, self-respectable life decisions that I have ever needed to make. I find myself more secure in my decisions with her as a sounding board. Dr. Philbin is not a person that will tell you what to do.  Instead, she taught me how to think about what I need and want so that I can carry these life skills forward and apply them at work, at home, as a parent, as a spouse and as the best version of myself. With her guidance, I felt ready and prepared to move forward with the life I constructed.  I could not recommend her more highly.”

“To say Kait has a gift is a gross understatement. I cannot pinpoint exactly what is was that drew me and made me feel safe, but Kait has been my shelter for grief, loss, heartache, hurt and every other emotion I was feeling. Through my work with her, I learned to be kind to myself, explore my grief and grow from the experience. She has helped me navigate through the worst period of my life, coming out on the other side better that I started. While grief is forever, so are the skills and lessons I learned from Kait during that time.

Later, I was approaching the fifth anniversary of my father’s passing. That year was harder than the previous four. I still don’t know why, but I found myself feeling worse than I had in years.  Through Kait’s compassionate and enlightening guidance, I worked through my grief and found ways to feel closer to my father.  I finally had the courage to revisit memories from his memorial. I may not have ever gone back as I believed I could not “handle” it. It turns out my memories were inaccurate. My trip back to that time became the springboard to my future. I reminded of my focus and followed my heart. I went from being good at my job to being great. I was recognized for my work by my peers and am continuing to raise the bar on what I hope to accomplish as a professional. Through my work with Kait as a coach, I refined my career focus, connected back to the essence of my passion and set my sights on excelling in my new field.

I cannot begin to do justice to Kait with my words. I believe it is very telling that I have recommended her to my most special friends. I do not vouch for someone lightly. Their lives have grown in beautiful ways, much like mine. We often talk about Kait and how good she is at challenging us and helping us bring out the best in ourselves.

Kait saved my life. I would have been consumed with grief. I would have never had the courage to switch fields or to start my own business. Kait has taught me more by asking questions than I have learned in college and graduate school combined. Kait’s gift is abundant and I am so honored to have the privilege of working with her.
